Village Election - Wednesday, March 18th 2026 

Place of Voting:  Bisby Hall - 179 South Street West Winfield

Polls will be open from 12 NOON - 9 PM

Positons on the Ballot will be:  Two (2) Village Trustee positions, each with a two (2) year term.

Independent Nomination Petitions may be pick up in the Village Clerk's Office - Bisby Hall - 179 South Street - beginning December 30, 2025

Independent Nomination Petitions can be filed with the Village Clerk between Tuesday, February 3 and Tuesday, February 10, 2026.

To be eligible to vote in Village Elections:  You must be registered with the Herkimer County Board of Elections.

If you are not already registered or need to update your registration you must do so by Friday, March 6th, 2026.

ABSENTEE & EARLY MAIL VOTING - Applications cannot be accepted until Monday, November 17, 2025

Chapter 481 of the Laws of 2023 authorize early mail voting.  Known  as the "New York Early Mail Voter Act," this method is available to voters for all elections, including village elections.

A registered village resident may request an early mail ballot by providing a written application to the village clerks office.

The application may be hand delivered or mailed to:  Village of West Winfield, PO Box 308, West Winfield NY 13491
